No matter what plans we have had for the day, things happen that amend them.  Most of the time, it is family, which is one of the most important gifts in our lives.

       That is what happened yesterday.   I was on a roll marking off my “to do” list and feeling so accomplished, and then, a call came in which changed the entire rest of the day.   Some things just did not get accompliahed.  They will have to wait until today.

      In my “old age”, I have learned that “first things come first”, and for whatever reason, that is what I am supposed to have done today, even though that particular energy was not on my schedule.   God does have His own timing and knows what is to be accomplished when ….. so that the next item can be accomplished according to the time He has given to it.

         Yes, family is a gift and is truly a blessing.   We learn from every one in our family.   We are taught something new each day.   That is one of the reasons we are placed in our respective families — to give and receive.

       AND, we must have our hand open to give in order to be able to receive.
